Chose this pack as it fit my petite frame better than several others though felt slightly heavier. Lots of great buckles and pockets, and the bottom sleeping bag pocket has full zip insde so you can get stuff out of the core section from either the top or bottom of the pack. The straps wer very comfortable and waist section stayed nice and secure through full 10 miles of my hike in. Little yellow flower included for the women's pack.
I felt several aspects could be improved for a pack that was more expensive than my prior pack, which I felt was better equipped. The bottom lacks straps with buckles but rather has just loops for attaching your own cords - not intuitive nor egnomic design if you do want to attach sleeping bag or poles. There is no rain cover included nor hydration pack (prior one had both though I am aware most don't include a hydration pack). Also after just one backpacking trip where I took very cautious care of the pack, the side mesh pocket already has a very tiny hole from placing various smooth, appropriately sized items in it.
This is the first backpack I've bought in more than 35 years. Improvements in gear across the board have been both surprising and delightful. Who knew a pack could be designed to fit women better? I chose this Deuter for fit, weight, volume, and a nice balance between minimalist and preferred options for carrying/organizing gear.
This pack has been all over the world with me. It is extremely comfortable and I love the adjustable size. It has no signs of wear after 2 years and many, many trips. Looking forward to many more miles with this bag.
This pack works for my size. I'm 4'10" with a narrow torso. It has been working great for overnighters and looking forward to longer trips
the only reservation is a size of the collar - a wider one would make it a beauty

What insulated water reservoirs fit this backpack?
The 3 liter CamelBak Crux StoAway Insulated Hydration Reservoir is a good choice for this pack.
