Sea to Summit - XL-Bowl

Category: Camp Kitchen

Bought this for hiking trips to take along for my Labrador. What a wonderful design! It is compact/lightweight, but becomes a very spacious bowl to hold water or food.

It worked well for a 3 day/2 night camping trip. Very compatible, yet opens up enough to hold a good amount of food, sauce, or liquids. The only issue I had was when it was full of food, I almost spilled the bowl because the sides were flimsy. A plus side to this is that you can use the bottom of the bowl as a mini-cutting board! So far so good.

Although the advantage of easy packing is significant, I found this bowl very hard to keep clean. Most of my meals from this dish in the backcountry have the added bonus of grit and dirt that hide in the folding grooves. The silicone surface and plastic bottom are also harder to clean in general.

I have a 60 lb big dog and found the other portable dog bowls to be a bit small for him as he drinks a lot of water. I will take this on our day hikes and short trips when I'm not counting ounces in our packs. Easy to clean and has been durable over several months of use now.

living in a 17 ft camper means every item needs to take up as little space as possible. StS X-dishware series (bowls, xl bowls, plates, cups, mugs) has been a godsend. So far the collection has lasted about a year of regular indoor use.

This bowl is the perfect size for bowl of cereal, soup or salad. I love how the bottom serves as a cutting board too! I’m just glad I bought 2 of these, so my husband and I each have our own.

High quality, durable materials. Great design that maximizes the usefulness of the product, allowing it to be used as a cutting board (yes, actually), a plate, a bowl, and markers for a measuring cup.

I got this out into the field and concluded it was too large for my needs. Returned it for the regular-sized bowl. I recommend it only if you are sure the regular sized bowl is not big enough.

I bought this bowl for my dog. I keep it in the back of my 4Runner with a gallon of water. Folds up out of the way. Can put in pack for longer walks. Extreme comvemtant. Great buy :-)

Love how compact this gets! Just keep it far away from your dogs if unsupervised. My Great Dane thought it would be fun to pull it from the counter and use it as a chew toy.... XD

Great lightweight bowl for trail. Used at Philmont Scout Ranch. Apparently silicone absorbs odors that can not be cleaned away, therefore bowls must be stored away from tents.

Works well. Very hard plastic bottom allows cutting with metal knife with no damage. Side is soft but sturdy rubber. I've used it a few times and all is well.

Sometimes too large. Nice that the base can be a small cutting board. I like that it's compact so easy to keep in lunch bag, or for camping.

Great if you're worried about space and weight. Also, very easy to clean is conditions where water is limited.

So easy....wipes dry with a kleenex....right back into my pak....love it

Used on a Mt Rainier summit. Worked great and very packable
