Obermeyer - Tuscany II Insulated Jacket - Women's

Category: Women's Jackets

I saw this jacket in REI in West Hartford CT in a size 12, tried it on quickly and bought it full price because the styling is awesome! I bought the black one with the lovely fake fox trimmed hood. It is so warm and fits like a glove. So that was the problem-I usually wear a size Misses 12, but this is fitted and cannot accommodate a sweater. So I returned it to the store and tried to mail order a size 14 but it was unavailable immediately from REI. I ended up purchasing it online from another retailer. You can wear a T-shirt and put this jacket on in winter--and BE WARM! Even in this size, the lines on the jacket are slimming. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this jacket. I haven't worn this in a snow storm yet, but I am looking forward to the storm this Sunday to test it out!

I bought this to walk my dog, not to ski so am slightly concerned this may not be warm enough when I start out of the house or if it's extremely cold (only tried in mid-30's so far). Once you get going, it's great. I believe it's for someone who will be active outside. If you are going to an outdoor event and just watching/standing around, this may not be warm enough for you. If you're going to be active, you'll be fine. It fits nicely and is not bulky at all. I love the extra features. There is an inner band around the hips to block the wind. This is awesome. There is also a "sleeve" that blocks the wind from going up your arms. There's a small pocket on the right arm good for bags and my chapstick. (only one inner pocket though) The hood is adjustable and does an excellent job of blocking the wind and keeping you warm without getting in your face and lastly, the part around the neck is lined with a soft fleece-like fabric that is much nicer than what you find in other coats. I have other coats that have the material that's on the outside of the coat in the lining and it's too rough on your neck and face and attracts even the slightest bit of make up and is hard to clean. This material is much better and easier to clean. Overall extremely happy with the purchase. You get what you pay for.

Stylish, but it still lets the cold in. I went for a walk, and I could feel cold wind coming through the seams. Too much money for a coat that can’t hold up to a southern winter.

It’s 20 degrees up here in Tahoe and rather than skiing today I did a lot of shoveling in my new jacket. This jacket kept me toastie warm for an hour outdoors, almost a little too warm while working up a sweat, but I will take warmth over being cold anytime. It’s an A+ jacket. And, dare I say, I was the most fashionable snow shoveler in Tahoe today?

I absolutely love this coat. I’m 5’9” with long arms and it fits great. True to size. I wear it for a casual winter coat. Not sure if it is meant for outdoor rec activities also? The hood is very spacious and perfect for inclement weather. Stylish, warm and fits great!!!

I bought 3 different ones of these trying to decide on fit and color and also tried on 2 others in the store. The blue one runs a full size smaller than the grey one (i.e. the blue 10 is about the same as the grey 8) in all five I've tried on. I am not sure which is "true" to size (whether the grey runs big or the blue runs small) but it appears to be consistent, at least across the five I've tried. Annoying as I now have to make another trip to the store to return the one that arrived yesterday AND still don't have the color I want in a size that fits AND I need the jacket for a trip to Park City next week. I'll try again and see if this is really a consistent problem. Otherwise the jacket seems very nice (or I wouldn't be bothering with all this.) Will add a review of warmth, freedom of movement, etc after I finally get the color/fit i want.

Bought this in charcoal to replace my previous winter coat. I could not be happier!! I adore this coat-it is warm and cozy and so comfortable. I have never owned any product by Obermeyer, but now I am a fan for life. I have laundered it 1x (followed label instructions) and it came out perfect. I do not ski, but owning this coat makes me wish that I did!! If I lived in a colder climate I would buy another one in a different color! (Color selection is fab!)

This jacket is amazing! I wore it in Santa Cruz when it was breezy and high 50s during the day and low 40s at night and I was so nice and warm. I didn’t need the hood during my trip so I removed it. I love that this jacket is stylish, not puffy, yet keeps you so warm. I’ll be using it in the snow this weekend which will be the true test for warmth.

Stylish warm. Perfect for skiing even in very cold snowy confitions. Kept me warm in Breckenridge New Yesrs Eve

Our daughter is difficult to fit. The REI customer service crew helped me superbly on my first try (daughter not with me) and on my return trip to exchange the coat for a different size. The coat is phenomenal -- she is able to wear it on her walk to school and able to keep it on at school (no lockers) and she couldn't be happier with it. Thank you for carrying this brand and this size....and for being so attentive and flexible during the process of buying it!

I had to return it. I’m 5’9, 142 pounds. After reading reviews I bought a size 8. I felt constricted in the arms and the armpits were uncomfortable. Not a great ski jacket because my movement felt limited. However, if you want a pretty jacket- which it is indeed-and you don’t need a lot of room for movement this would work. It would also be fine if you don’t layer but I do. I would recommend this product for petite types.

This jacket is warm without looking bulky. I am petite and many other jackets were too long or just looked over-sized. I like the extended cuffs and love the interior pockets and loops for storage. There is a grippy liner across the back to keep the jacket from riding up when bending over. The hood zips off and the faux-fur around the hood snaps off for cleaning or just for a different look.

I live in CO and am a frequent skier. I typically wear high-end, technical brands, but wanted something a little more fashionable for warmer sunny days. I wore this jacket for four days straight during a Vail ski trip. Weather ranged from 20-40 degrees. I adjusted my layers accordingly for each day, and was never hot or cold. This jacket and/or style was all over the slopes, so very on-trend. I found the price, especially the sale price, very reasonable compared to what other brands can cost, especially this style.

Stylish & warm ski jacket! Ready to hit the slopes!

For reference I’m 5’3 100 lbs. I tried on the size 2 and 4. I went with the size 4 under which I could fit 2 base layers along with a semi-thick fleece mid layer. This jacket is stylist and highly functional for skiing, it kept me warm and dry even in the constant mountain snowfall. Very pleased with my purchase.

I got this jacket for skiing and being outdoors in the winter. I really like how the sides are more form fitting than almost any other that I tried on, nice to not feel like you are wearing something shaped like a garbage bag =p

Comfortable, stylish and affordable compared to other winter jackets I looked at. I wore it recently skiing as well as for a night out and it was great for both functions. I had a hard time determining the size as it runs a little small, but otherwise a great coat.

I wore this skiing and it does not have a lot of room for layers because of the fit of the jacket, and I ordered a size up, so I was very disappointed. The sleeve cuffs also do not have enough room to allow for me to comfortably wear my gloves.

Great jacket - wore it skiing and it kept me warm. I did pick the white which I love the color, I just hope I can keep it white :). Fits true to size and I would recommend it.

I wore this coat skiing, snow mobiling and around the town and it was perfect for all 3. Super stylish and kept me super warm.

Bought this jacket in 2018 in gray size 6. i absolutely love it, fits like a glove on top of my layers.

Got this coat for skiing this year. Is crazy light yet unbelievably warm! Love love love!

She loves the fit and styling and it keeps her nice and warm on the ski slopes!

Will the fabric stain? Specifically the white coat

The HydroBlock® Sport fabric resists up to 10,000mm before water penetration, and that resistance may help prevent staining. However, it's possible all of the colors can stain.
