Patagonia - Micro Puff Insulated Hoodie - Women's

Category: Women's Jackets

This jacket is everything I hoped for! Incredibly lightweight and great for travel. When paired with a lightweight cashmere sweater or smartwool base layer keeps me warm in 40 degree temps. Also great for layering - when temps drop below 30 I like to layer this underneath a puffy coat. A much better fit for me than the nano, fits more comfortably across the chest and the hood is perfectly snug in that it doesn't go flying off my head in windy weather.

This jacket is made for someone who is very tall and thin. It didn't fit me well at all. I went with the Nano Puff instead, and I love it.

Purchased the Patagonia Micro Puff Hoody for a trip to New Zealand. We had a few days with high bone-chilling winds. This jacket kept me toasty as promised, but I was awestruck that a jacket so thin could be so windproof. I literally couldn’t feel any wind or chill. This jacket also has a super flattering fit while allowing great movement. Arms are nice and long, something I struggle to find in most jackets. I often wore this jacket with the Patagonia pack out pants which are sleek, but thick and also warm.

Not as warm as advertised. Comfortable and light but wind blows through

It fit well but did not provide adequate insulation, maybe because the wind blows right through. If you hold the jacket up to the light you can see light through the stitch holes.

Arrms were too tighe when worn with a sweater. Wish the cut was roomier.

Highly recommend this jacket. Just got back from a trip to Northern California & this jacket was amazing.

Would have liked the color in picture instead of black, I was told the hoodie micro puff only came in black.

I am not a fan of this jacket at all. The fit is very strange- snug around the hips and loose in the chest area. The hood is an awkward mess. The overall quality of this jacket is nice and typical of the Patagonia brand, but the fit sucks and seems inconsistent with other Patagonia jackets I own. I exchanged for the nano puff.

Nice, warm, and light with a snug hood and slightly longer length. Better for technical hiking or climbing, more than casual wear because of the delicate shiny fabric. But the elastic on bottom rides up when i lift my arms, and the armholes are a bit high, so returning.

Beautiful jacket. I wanted to love it, but the sizing didn't work for me. The large was too tight with too long of sleeves. I worried that the XL would have crazy long arms and still be too fitted, so had to return it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this jacket! I used it for a trek in Nepal and it was perfect.

Love Love Love. Lightweight and waterproof can fold up into purse

What color does the "Arrow Red" lean towards---red or merlot?  It's hard to tell on-line.

We consider arrow red as more of a merlot.

When"Linda" wrote that the insulation was coming out, did REI offer to fix it? Linda gave it a 1 review but I would like to know what the resolution was.

We do not have that information available, but we stand behind everything we sell. If you're not satisfied with your REI purchase, you can return it for a replacement or refund under our satisfaction guarantee. You can read more about the guarantee here:

?What is the comparable down fill of this jacket similar to? 650 fill? 700? 800?

Patagonia states that their PlumaFill synthetic insulation is warmer and lighter than their 800-fill power down.
